Victoria Ruocco, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Victoria Ruocco is thrilled to be our new Chief of Staff. She grew up in Medfield and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2006. Dr. Ruocco went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee in 2010. After graduation she practiced for a short time in private practice, including working a few shifts at Norton Animal Hospital before completing an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Tufts Veterinary Emergency Treatment and Specialties in Walpole, Massachusetts. Dr. Ruocco then spent several years in private practice, joining Norton Animal Hospital in September, 2017.
In her free time, she enjoys being with her friends, family, and pets. Dr. Ruocco resides in Mendon with her husband, Keegan, her little Westie, Lady, a naughty cat, Autumn, and two sweet little guinea pigs, Harold and Olive.
Amy Richards, DVM
Dr. Amy Richards graduated in 1989 from Cornell University with a B.S. Degree in Animal Science. After college graduation, she remained at Cornell where she attended veterinary school. During her four years in veterinary school, she was recognized for her academic accomplishments and received the Cornell National Scholar Award. Dr. Richards graduated and received her DVM degree from Cornell University (New York State College of Veterinary Medicine) Veterinary School in 1993.
After veterinary school, Dr. Richards completed an internship at the Veterinary Institute of Trauma, Emergency and Critical Care.
Shawna Li, DVM
Born and raised in Montana, Dr. Shawna Li moved to Massachusetts to pursue her undergraduate degree in Biology at Harvard University. Graduating from that prestigious university in 1993, Dr. Li later earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and remained at Tufts for one more year to complete an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. She joined the Norton Animal Hospital team as an associate veterinarian in October 2004.
Dr. Li has been volunteering her time and working professionally with animals since 1998. Some of the places she has helped animals include the New England Aquarium, the animal hospital at the Franklin Park Zoo, and Tufts University Large Animal Hospital. She has a professional interest in small animal medicine and surgery.
During her time off from the hospital, Dr. Li enjoys reading, cooking, sewing and traveling.
Kristin Miller, DVM
Dr. Kristin Miller received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire in 2000. She continued her schooling at the University of Wisconsin at Madison where she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Returning to New England, Dr. Miller completed an internship in emergency and internal medicine at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts and received an award of recognition of her community service work at the Quincy Animal Shelter. Dr. Miller has been an associate veterinarian at Norton Animal Hospital since 2005.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Miller enjoys knitting, gardening, and chasing her children around. She and her husband, Jamie, are raising three children – Adeline, Birch, and Keira. They share their home with, Brie, a Briard dog, a cat, Harley, and backyard chickens.
